WEEK 20 - TEACHING AS INQUIRY

  • Continue to work on your Literature Review
  • Read through the class notes on teaching and research in New Zealand.
  • Read Graeme Aitken’s background paper, The Inquiring Teacher, and watch the video presentation
  • Have a look at some of the short videos that discuss various inquiry projects that teachers have been involved in
  • Read the instructions (see class notes / webinars) (http://tinyurl.com/UsingBBC) on how and where to join the Webinar if you are attending

Watching the CoreEd video with Clare Amos - This further confirmed my redeveloping teaching approach. I have changed from teaching NE to Y7/8 in the past term. I like that I am able to hold far more deeper thinking conversations to support their learning. It is an exciting challenge to work on Self-Regulating their own learning - one I will embrace in 2017 with my own class

WEEK 19 - WRITING A LITERATURE REVIEW

  • Read the class notes and read/watch the required or recommended readings and videos.
  • Continue to work on your literature review – Formulate and/or refine the research question, locate relevant literature, interpret and analyse the literature, synthesise the literature and develop main themes, begin writing!
  • Please also register for next week's assessment 1 Webinar
